Morning Program Begins

Event Date: Monday, June 24, 2019
Event Time: 9:00 am
Event Category / Group: Morning Program / Juniors

The Morning Program will Begin on Monday, June 24, 2019

Monday-Friday 9:00am-12:00pm, for all age groups.

Every morning is filled with exciting activities, learning, and fun. Daily activities include: arts and crafts, lawn games led by a new games counselor this year, playtime on the beach, swim lessons and snack time. The camp plans a different theme each week and organizes activities to match the theme. Activities are adapted for each age group, with the goal of encouraging a safe, fun camp experience for our younger children.

Swimming is an important part of our program and lessons targeting Red Cross safety skills are provided each day. At the end of the summer the campers will show off their newly acquired swimming skills at our Port-Starboard swim meet. You will be amazed!  Children in the Morning Program also perform in the Junior Show which is held in the evening near the end of the program. Campers create and learn songs and skits with their group which they present for all the parents to enjoy.

Notes about our program: As our activities take place primarily outdoors, we occasionally need to cancel the Morning Program due to inclement weather. On these occasions, we make sure to contact families by email, and we post notice of any cancellations to the RYC website.

Please visit the linked pages for specific program information to ensure you register your child in the correct group. Please remember to send your child in their bathing suit with clothing over it, and have them bring a nut free snack, water, and towel. Don't forget to apply sunscreen.
