- Any time the marina is fully assigned, a Club member can request to be placed on the waiting list for a slip. Non-Resident members cannot maintain a position on the marina wait list.
- Requests for slips during the summer space application process which are received before the “due date” will be deemed to have been received on the “due date”.
- Requests to be placed on the waiting list must be made in writing and submitted to the Waterfront Manager. No verbal requests will be honored.
- The Waterfront Manager will determine the date the member is placed on the waiting list by the date of receipt of the written application. If more than one member submits their slip request on the same date, seniority in the club will decide the order of receipt.
- A request for a slip must include the owner’s name, phone number, address, vessel’s type and make, LOA, beam, draft and registration number.
- Members who request a slip before they acquire their vessel and who are assigned a slip must show proof of ownership of the vessel within 30 days of the posting of slip assignments. Otherwise, the member will forfeit the slip and their place on the waiting list.
- If a member on the waiting list refuses the assignment of a slip, that member will forfeit the slip and their place on the waiting list. Any new request by that member for a slip will be then added to the waiting list based on the date it is received.
- Every member on the waiting list must fill out a summer slip application each year and submit it by the due date. Failure to submit an application will result in removal from the waiting list. Applications are available from the Waterfront Manager and on the Club web site.
- Members with assigned slips in any portion of the marina other than the boarding fingers who purchase another vessel which would require a different slip and which slip is not currently available for assignment must be placed on the marina waiting list. These members’ requests will have priority over other members requesting new marina slips; except that such members will not have priority over members with assigned mooring field space who have been on the marina space waiting list with respect to their mooring field vessel for a period greater that the period that such slip holder has had assigned slip space.
- Members with assigned space in the mooring area, summer dry sail area or boarding fingers who request a marina slip will have priority over other members requesting new marina slips, except for those categories of members covered by paragraph 9.
- Requests for a marina slip by a member for a single slip will have priority over requests by a member who already has one or more slips.
- Members with assigned slips may request a “bye year” which would allow the Club to reassign their slips for a season without forfeiting their rights to a slip provided they reoccupy the slip in the following season. Similarly, members who received a slip assignment due to another member requesting a “bye year” shall not lose their position on the waiting list. However, they still may not receive a slip the following year.
- The Waterways Committee will assign slips taking into consideration the best overall use of slip space for the Club and its members.
- In the event of co- or multiple-ownership of a vessel, there can only be one slip holder of record. If a slip holder of record is no longer an eligible slip holder, the space will go to the next member on the wait list whose vessel is appropriate to that slip.
