Thank you for visiting the electronic sign-up sheet for RDDA Race Committee & Chase Boat service. This document is accessible to all RYC and RDDA members. As the fleet evolves, so does our management of the Race Committee and Chase Boat service. We've eliminated the paper form that's been used for more than 40 years. Our sign-up is 100% electronic, green, and 100% easy to use! For returning 2013 RC members, the process is exactly the same as we did this past Spring/Summer. If you're new to this process, read on. Here's how to use the electronic scheduler:
- Click this LINK to access schedule document.
- You'll arrive on what looks like a spreadsheet. Read the directions at the top left-hand corner of the page. You can scroll over one of the boxes to refresh your self on directions (note the roll-over doesn't work on the iPad). The sheet has a column of names, and a row of dates. Columns/Rows have been locked to help you see the dates and names better.
- Scroll down and find your name in the column, and then scroll across to see the dates. Simply indicate in the correct cell (aligns with your name and the date you are considering) any one of three letters:
W = Would serve (typing in a "W" tells the RC that you would serve on that date--it's your preferred date).
C = Can Serve. (typing in a "C" tells the RC that you can serve on that date--it's not your preferred date, but you can serve).
N = Can't Serve. (typing in a "N" tells the RC that you can't serve on that date)
Once you enter in your selection, you can close out the document. You do not need to press save as with a normal excel spreadsheet. The system remembers automatically.; If you make a mistake, just retype what you intended.
Once the RC Co-Chairs get most of the RDDA fleet dates, we'll then assign a crew to a PRO (PROs are designated by the RC only). The co-chairs will send each RC and RDDA member a confirmation of assignment service note.
Don't worry about "messing up the spreadsheet, we can always go back to previous versions.
