Personal Bio:

My name is Liam Farrel and I grew up sailing at the Larchmont Yacht Club. I have sailed in 14 states, Argentina, and the U.K. in Optis before transitioning to the Laser Radial which I still sail now. I went to high school at Fordham Prep and skippered 420s with the Mamaroneck High School Sailing Team and have since joined the Georgetown University Sailing Team. I was a junior instructor at LYC for 3 years and I am a Gold Star Sailing coach, providing the surviving children of fallen military service members with the opportunity to learn how to sail, build self-confidence, teach teamwork, and promote healing in a positive environment of hope, adventure, and friendship. My immense love for sailing was formed by fun summer days sailing on the Long Island Sound creating memories that will last a lifetime. I am so excited to be able to provide young sailors with the same opportunity here at Riverside.
