Waterways

Welcome to the Waterways section of the Riverside Yacht Club web site.

As you may know, Riverside Yacht Club possesses one of the finest waterway facilities among private yacht clubs on Long Island Sound.  Our notable assets include:

Large and secure marina.  Located inside protected Cos Cos harbor, our marina’s concrete docks, installed in 1998 and expanded in 2000, provide 162 berths and over a mile of linear slip space.

Waterfront services.  Fuel (diesel and gasoline) and holding tank pump-out services are available on the dock; launch service is available to the adjacent mooring field.

Dry sailing facilities include a three ton hoist and a two ton hoist. Storage space accommodates over 15 small sailboats and 40 kayaks.

We are also very proud of our waterways staff.  Waterfront Manager Captain Keith Knowlton, CMM, aided by Assistant Waterfront Manager Jorge Jimenez, leads a staff of 11 (seasonal peak).  Among their duties is the maintenance of a fleet of 24 Club-owned boats that support a broad range of racing throughout the year.

We look forward to the upcoming boating season and encourage you to be friendly with your fellow boaters, courteous with our staff and observant of the marina and moorings rules and safety guidelines described on this site.

Enjoy your boating!
